Guest guest
, You didn't say what or how much you're eating or what your starting bmi was, but if your starting bmi was relatively low , for example, 40 or 41, then you will not lose as fast as others. My starting bmi was 41 and I've lost 43 pounds in 9 weeks. I'm very happy with that. I eat approximately 800 - 1100 calories per day. I haven't started a regular exercise regimen yet--keep meaning to, but you know how it goes. I don't keep track of it every day because I don't want to be a slave to the calorie counting like I have my whole life, but if you want to find out exactly what and how much you're eating, there's a very nice website that will help you. It's at http://www.fitday.com. Just join the site as a member and you can keep track of what you eat. All the calories, protein, fat, carbs, food values are already calculated. It's really easy and helpful. You can also keep track of your weight loss on a chart, keep a journal if you want, and much more. > I just got back from a post-op visit with my surgeon. And also what kind of excercises are you doing? I really need some input on this and need to get myself jumpstarted. I lost 25 pounds my first 2 weeks. Guest guest
That's all I have had today. Protein and lots of Crystal Light. My fear is that even when I am eating protein, I am eating too much. This probably sounds paranoid but that is the way I am feeling right now. M. in KC Re: I am bummed out and need help. Guest guest
I can only pray that a plateau is all this really is. I will keep you posted. M. in KC Re: I am bummed out and need help. M.....you NEED to eat protein to lose! Never cut down on the proteins! Just watch the simple carbs and sugar, but eat the rest. You are probably just on a plateau! Guest guest
Sounds like you're eating just fine--yikes any less than that would mean " diet " to me--and why did we get this surgery? Not to diet, that's for sure. But it doesn't look like you're even getting enough protein. What was your CC legnth. I have been hearing everything from 50 to 125cm. Dr. B in Spain was giving everyone 75, but has recently decreased it to 65 which I have. I have heard people hike up the fats and protiens for awhile to get the metabolism going and the fat burning. Hang in there. Pammii
