Guest guest
From time to time people from other parts of the country have asked me about the border. Several organizations are active across the Borderlands in the southwestern United States. Among these, one may link to: “No More Deaths” can be found at: http://www.nomoredeaths.org From Home Page connect to video from CNN on Border Patrol Abuse [if not posted, do an internal search] and, under DOCUMENTS, one can find " Abuse Report: Crossing the Line. " “Humane Borders” can be found at: http://www.humaneborders.org/ From Home Page under QUICK LINKS, connect to BORDER MAPS and WARNING POSTERS. This organization compiles border death data and “maps” it. They also are known for their numerous water tanks (home page photo shows a water tank), scattered across most areas of southern Arizona. “Border Action Network” can be found at: http://www.borderaction.org/web/index.php From Home Page one can connect to informative videos under VIDEO GALLERY and recent photographs under PHOTO GALLERIES. This group is politically active in mobilizing local constituencies. “Samaritans” can be found at: http://samaritanpatrol.org/ From Home Page one can connect to other border groups under LINKS and read a short summary under BORDER HISTORY.
