I have been seeing many post regarding skin.. I started the SCD in August of 2006, I choose at the time to go completely med free, that meant giving up 12 Asacol a day and Entocort. I had not noticed that they were doing much for me at all. I went thru so many changes in all forms over the next couple of years. The fatigue was the first issue along with the trips to the bathroom, which were frequent and many... as that started to let up, then came the skin issues... many rashes, all over, some you could not even see anything present, just itching... that being mostly on my back. My neck and part of my face would have a constant rash. At that point my acupuncturist suggested I stop all dairy, so I did for the next year. I missed the yogurt, but had to see what was happening and if there was some connection. I will never know as I eat all SCD foods at this point, both cooked and raw. I have been symptom free since November 2009, whoop whoop!!

Also for all of you that are curious about colostrum, I did visit the Doc 4 years prior to my diagnosis, he gave me the same old excuse, no gallbladder, bile dripping yadda yadda... it worked fantastic for me for those 4 years, ate anything I wanted..stayed overweight...then I decided to do something about my extra 60lbs... I quit smoking, joined Curves and suddenly the colostrum stopped working for me, I was so sick... could not leave the house, was scared and loosing it.... this was the big diagnosis of Crohns after a colonoscopy... then right on to more drugs... then a Naturopath told me about SCD... after a bit of studying and the purchase of BTVC.. I made the choice, I will never look back! My weight fluctuated, but right now if I overeat, I will gain weight. I feel balanced, found my CHI and my perfect weight.

Now I spread the word as much as possible, it does take time... and dedication.. but I feel that this life style will work if you let it. I am active and never have an issue with travel. I just bring it along, almonds, pumpkin cookies, spinach crusted quiche, cheese.. all travels well. And if you catch yourself out and about and hungry, any restaurant will have eggs.. just ask for it hard boiled, what can they do to that?

Hope this helps someone.. hang in there it does take time.

CD diagnosed 4/06SCD 8/06 and med free
