Guest guest
Hi Joyce There were no handouts for the presentations. There ware meterials from each of the Hospitals and the two groups. Liquid O2 is safe for traveling. Gas O2 is a potential bomb. The stem cells in the blood may be contributng to the over reacting repair in the Lungs. These cells may come into the Lung and then foster the growth of the fiberous tisue that is our problem. Guest guest
Hi , I think it is an IPF registry not an IP registry. Guest guest
Luke, Of course Gas 02 is dangerous so is the gas in your car. I travel all over with my tanks in the trunk and back seat of the car.. no problem this far. Just pray for no wrecks.. I don't worry about it. Life is sort don't worry.. Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida, IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Let's be careful not to unduly alarm people. While I choose to use liquid, it's not because Gas is a potential bomb. Many people travel very safely with gas 02. There are correct ways of transporting it just as there are with liquid. Getting in the car and getting on the road with or without oxygen has risk. Oxygen adds some exposure, but its minimal comparatively. It's much like housefires. Yes, oxygen has risk there too but most oxygen related fires involve smoking. And, still by far the greatest single cause of house fires is kitchen carelessness such as leaving a pot on the stove while one takes a phone call. Glad you enjoyed the event, Luke, and thanks for sharing with us. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Group, > > > > > > > I was curious to know if anyone is planning to attend the IPF Seminar in PA on Monday 9/14/09? > > > > > > > AB > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Peggy, You know I do the same thing. When I travel I always have tanks in the trunk of my car. Without being able to carry oxygen with me I would not be able to travel as easily as I do. As you said, life is short!
