Guest guest
The only protein I have had for about 8 years before SCD was chicken (that following 20 years with no protein, animal, veggie, anything). I couldn't use eggs for the entire 28 years, until a month ago, which for me was 7 months into SCD. So I don't think that reacting to the eggs would necessarily mean you can't handle chicken. I would puree it. I make my SCD gelatin with thinned out legal fruit juice and water. It doesn't need sweetening. Today I ate 2 eggs over easy and that brought the pain back for a few hours. Then I had well-steamed zucchini pureed with organic vegetable stock and organic cultured butter, and that seems to be sitting well with me. Would it be okay to add a little coconut oil to the zucchini to add some extra calories? At this point since the eggs brought my pain level up, I'm hesitant to try the intro diet chicken soup.
