Guest guest
alyssa, I promise I could make you kosher tamales if you just point out some of the rules. I have made chicken tamales. Laughing, my best friend is an Israeli, and a couple of thanksgivings ago, I invited he and a couple of his employees for dinner. To a person, guess what they wanted for dinner? You got it, pork! Grinning. Its a treat they didn't get to often in Israel, so boy, they got carnitas, and ham and everything else I can think of! In return, they taught me to swear in yiddish, learned how to make hummus and latkes, and was included in Channukah celebrations. I think the Israelis and Mexicans have so much in common culturally! If I were a religious person, I'd consider converting! grins Hugs, Theresa > Something tells me these tamales aren't kosher... > > alyssa, resident jew > Re: Let the Tamale war begin! > > > > Sounds perfect.... > > > > Just missing two things from my recipe... > > > > Where is the lard in the Masa?
