I know they say to deal with yeast first before starting LDN, but I didn't (didn't know i had the problem) and I didn't quit LDN when I went on Diflucan and I think they can coexist. I think the Diflucan diminished my immune help from LDN a little bit but I can live with that as I have other benefits, too. I figure I'll just work on everything and OK, maybe it will take a little longer. Thanks Kim and thanks everyone for helping me get some prespective. I think that eating my low-sugar fruits (all I am eating is blueberries, avocado and moderate pear), and only being on 10mg of prednisone, I'm going to start the LDN as soon as I can. It sounds like it has helped so many people, and I am hoping it will help me too, despite the modest yeast problem. If I can taper off prednisone even a little I'm sure it will help with the yeasts, which will help with the LDN, and we can get this cycle going in the right direction! LDN is low dose naltrexone. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17222320 is a study which might interest you. It's hard to get prescribed because most doctors don't know anything about it, mainly because to many doctors get their drug information from Big Pharma. Naltrexone is out of patent, and therefore, there is no money to be made on research on it. It's also pretty cheap -- compounded LDN runs about $60 for a three month supply. I'll let others who have used it chime in. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
