Guest guest
, I’m not familiar with lactoferrin, but here is one source for monolaurin: www.lauricidin.com Carol CD 22 yrs SCD 5 yrs From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Regan I saw that one member used both lactoferrin and monolaurin as antibiotics in order to break down bad bacteria that was tough to get rid of. I hear lactoferrin is a protein found in breast milk and tear drops, so I'm a little confused. Has anyone tried these supplements at all? If so, where can you find SCD legal versions? Guest guest
Thanks Carol. I actually found a legal version of both supplements for cheap -- lactoferrin has the ability to ensure that pathogenic bacteria in our colon is blocked from feeding on iron -- I didn't even know it could -- it's found in milk, so that might explain why we don't get enough since we can have milk. I don't know what it does structurally to the milk in our yogurt, but I can't handle yogurt anyway, so I'm giving this a try. Monolaurin has antiviral and anitbacterial properties and apparently both supplements are good for fighting yeast. I'll let everyone know if I see any improvement.
