Guest guest
I started to take these. Then my body shut down again. Maybe it has something to do with getting my period. But now I have no BMs but I do have some mucous coming out. No blood from what I can see. (I'm SO sick of analyzing the toilet each time I go)I only eat: broth, chicken/turkey, carrots, b. squash, eggs, yogurt, zucchini, applesauce (not every day). I was off CLO for about a week waiting for it to come in. I take the CLO, just started magnesium. Guess that's it.You've all been trying to help me but I'm worried I'm making things worse and the inflammation is getting out of control. I really don't want to go on the asacol and have been looking for a doc who knows something about SCD. I found a natural doc who was an MD for many years. She doesn't exactly know about SCD but was very receptive to working with me.I should take the couple minutes to take the baths. I'll start again tonight. It's so hard to find that little bit of time for myself. If only I could take the computer in the tub with me.Any other suggestions to reduce inflammation? S. Bouldardii? Enzymes? LDN?Thanks so much,12/09 UC
Guest guest
on the topic of bromelain, I tried buying one that looked legal a few weeks ago. I was hoping to use it as a digestive enzyme. It hurt my stomach. I figured it was because it was derived from pineapple stem, and I figure if at all SCD stem must be pretty darn advanced? I have it here. check the inactives, they are cellulose, stearic acid, cellulose & glycerin coating, silica, magnesium stearate, vegetable glaze.what is up? did I blow it, and one/some of these inactives are illegal? is bromelain not usually sourced from stems in supplements? I've been sipping a little pineapple juice instead with meals. That is extremely helpful. I'm hoping to start baking pineapple instead. Bought one, waiting for it to ripen.to michelle: sorry I don't know better how to be helpful with your C. I would recommend again the electrolyte drink, although I guess I mentioned that to you b4. especially since an old time remedy for C is drinking a large quantity of salt water.. and electrolyte drink is largely salt water anyways. Plus, the lack of electrolytes can cause C. as with many deficiencies. I don't know if you are avoiding juices, you did not mention drinking juices or electrolyte when you listed what you were eating. Fruits are a great source of some minerals and phytonutrients, such as grape juice, with such as chromium etc. I would recommend starting a little bit of watered down juices here and there to get better nourishment, unless you are avoiding them for some reason like candida, in which case I would really ramp up your treatment of that. Also, if you are avoiding juices, you can drink electrolyte without any sweetener at all (no honey or juice), although it does work better with juice. Also, I would really recommend a multivitamin. Also, generally helpful things are marrow bones/broth, and also you could try making broken bone broth - very nourishing. I get best results from saving my chicken bones, then adding them to my next soup. I smash them before I add them (break them best I can), if they are too hard to break, I let them soak/start cooking for awhile, then I go after them and smash them when they are soft enough (sometimes even just with a spoon (preferably wooden)). The longer you cook broken bone soup the better, I think recommend is like 18 hours or something I'd have to look it up. I don't have a slow cooker so I just cook it for a few hours and it really helps me. is there any reason you are not eating broiled burgers? They can be very helpful for healing our problems in this stage, and very nourishing. I highly recommend them. actually you really need red meat for b12 too unless you are going to supplement it sublingually or with a shot. But that's not as important as the healing and other nourishing benefits. They are also really easy to digest, probably easier than your turkey. Best wishes! I started to take these. Guest guest
I'm not sure what vegetable glaze would be made with so not sure if it's legal. I have it here. check the inactives, they are cellulose, stearic acid, cellulose & glycerin coating, silica, magnesium stearate, vegetable glaze.what is up? did I blow it, and one/some of these inactives are illegal? is bromelain not usually sourced from stems in supplements? I try to add lemon juice over everything. I cooked a pan of 'fried' spinach with half a lemon or more squeezed all over it. Pretty good stuff.
