Guest guest
Neocate is a GFCF soy-free amino acid based formula, available at pharmacies. It is really expensive, $30 a can of powder, but it was our only option. Guest guest
My 2 year old is the only one GFCF in my family. My pediatrician told me to put my 7 month old on formula because he is not growing enough on my milk (I work full-time so I am not pumping enough). I told her I was concerned with starting him so soon considering the problems with my 2 year old. She suggested Carnation Good Start because it is more broken down and easier to digest. I do not believe it is GFCF though. My baby shows no signs of autism and does not appear to be having problems with my milk even though I consume gluten and casein. One thing I wanted to mention. I waited to start my son on the diet until after he had his evaluation. I believe he would not have qualified for services because he would not have been considered serious enough if he was on the diet before. If your niece does go on the diet before evaluation, make sure to video tape her before so you could have physical proof of how she was pre-diet. > Hello, recently I posted about my 9 month old > niece....and (thanks to all the replys) my sister > is having her evaluated by early intervenion. > A good first step.
