Guest guest Posted March 22, 2005 Report Share Posted March 22, 2005 Hi I have to say that I agree with Ken. If the geneticist is basing his decision solely on birth weight, then he's wrong! I, too, know several RSS kids that weighed more at birth, and plenty more who weighed significantly less! I would try to see either a ped endo, or try to make it to the MAGIC convention in Chicago in July! I would think that at 18 months of age, and only weighing 12# he would definitely fall under some type of growth disorder. The RSS " look " is unique. And we all comment on how much our kids " look " alike, so maybe your son is RSS, but because it's a clinical diagnosis, it's being missed??
