Guest guest
I lived on fats pre op and had no problems at all without a GB for my 13 years without a GB before I had the DS. The GB is a useless organ! The liver produces the bile and continues to do so after the GB is removed. All the bile goes into the biliary limb of the DS and does not come into contact with the food until the common channel. What ever difference can it make if the bile comes directly from the liver or from the little storage unit called the gallbladder??? It does the job in the same place. The GB is like the " middle man " your bile does not need. We humans probably develped a GB at a time when we killed huge animals and gorged on meat for days. Needed a lot of bile in a major hurry. A post op DS couldn't eat that much LOL /Seattle > Hi again, Kathy - > > Neither my wife nor I have our gallbladders and neither of us have any > problems. I don't, nor does she, consume huge quantities of fats. If you
