Guest guest
Was on Imuran short-term because I lost my insurance and they wouldn't continue it since I couldn't do the blood tests every two weeks. I was on prednisone, pentasa and imuran. None of it helped. Or get rid of the problem. I'm sure it did help in ways I'll never know. I think I caught every kindergarten bug there is while I was on it so if I were you, I'd continue the diet. It's a healthier way of eating. Sometimes with the drugs, what if you suddenly had a reaction or developed antibodies (maybe that's just remicade, don't know) but then you suddenly have to stop taking all drugs (happened to someone I know) then at least you are firmly planted into the diet and can eat what's tolerated to control symptoms, etc. I guess I'm saying don't put all your eggs in one basket if it's drugs or SCD. It doesn't have to be either/or. Debbie 40 cd (still not doing things right, learn new things daily ;-)) Might come down to me taking Imuran to get this flare under control. Originally when I started this diet I told myself that Imuran was the cutoff. If I was on the diet and this disease progressed to the point I was going to have to be on Imuran that I was going to stop it, and just live my life. Now, i'm obviously reconsidering. So my question is this.If you were on Imuran, did you go off it by being on the diet?If you were not on Imuran but had to go on it after being on the diet, why do you stay on the diet?
