turkeys and such

I want to buy the wegmans (Wampler basted ) frozen turkey. Anyone know

anything about this brand?

T0PS has a turkey too with pop up timer. I can alway read the ingredients

and see if there any of those bad bad words on them, but is there something

else I should be checking for that I am not considering. New to this diet and

thought I was impleminting the glutein part slowly only to discover I had

covered all my meals as GFCF for the last week. So, food wise I think we are

there and don't want to backslide now.

SOmeone mentioned Butterball earlier and I wanted to hear more of that if

someone knows. Thanks...oh, I made gravy in my crockpot with tapioca flour.

My stew grravy was better than usual! But I am at a loss with the

stuffing....help please, Thanks. D

Well it depends on what are your preferences. I make stuffing with

gfcf bread that I have made myself (Noah's bread works great) or corn

bread if you like corn bread stuffing. All you have to do with both,

is dice it up, et voila`! you have your stuffing.

For seasoning, I use chopped parsley (can use all dried herbs if you

like), some dried basil, bacon cut up in little pieces, that I first

let stir fry in a pan before adding the rest so it releases the fat,

and I use that fat instead of adding margarine or butter; I add

celery, onions, pecans, salt and pepper, and whatever you like. I

also make stuffing with chestnuts that I previously have boiled and

peeled, then I omit the pecans.

This has always been my recipe, the only thing I'll be doing

differently this year with be the gfcf bread part

PS I have no answer on the turkey part, b/c I am in doubt myself. I

think I'll be going for a fresh turkey this year to be on the safe

side.
