Guest guest
I wanted to find out if some of the items we often use from Hormel are free of gluten. I checked out their website and they have a gluten-free list: http://www.hormel.com/Hormel/home.nsf/LUDocument/D0017?OpenDocument They have products under the names of Hormel, Dinty , Herb-Ox, Spam, Stagg, Black Label etc. Of course this is just a gluten free list but casein is easier to spot. I wanted to know about the Jennie-O Turkey Ham and did not find it on the list so I called. The lady I talked to said they are aware of the concern of gluten even in trace amounts and never have it in any item without specifically stating it on the label. They would never have it listed as a flavoring. She said Jennie-O line is not on the list because they recently took over that line. She was not able to answer if it is GF though because I did not have the bar code number with me.
Guest guest
, Thanks for sending the link. I saved it to my favorite places for future reference. The only thing I'm worried about is that I don't see regular bacon on the list. I see fully cooked and microvave. I also see Red Label and Black Label. I know I have used their bacon for . I guess I'll have to double check the next time I buy it. Thanks again. Kim > I wanted to find out if some of the items we often use from Hormel > are free of gluten.
