Guest guest
Thank you so much for your input. I am actually down to 81, but I'm about 3 feet shorter than you, and it was probably over a longer period of time -- due to eating too little because I was afraid about how food makes me feel. I had been able to gain weight, but only feeling horrible in the process. Over the past couple months, I have been really restricting my diet, but was able to maintain the weight with lots of bananas and avocados and peanut butter - hence the worry about not eating bananas. I think a good compromise would be to stick to cooked fruit only and try some banana pancakes and stop the fruit juice. The yeast thing is interesting, I'll probably wait on introducing honey as well as all fruit juice and stick to a little cooked fruit, and see how it goes... Thanks! Guest guest
Mindy - thank you so much for your advice. I hope the banana pancakes will work for me I think I'm gonna cut out the fruit juice completely for a couple weeks and try a plain applesauce with no honey soon and see if that works. Thanks again. Ellen > > > > Hi- > > > > This is my third day on the diet. My first two days I had some flu-like symptoms - nausea and fever-like and weak. These problems were getting better day today until after tried my first new food - 1/2 of a small banana. I also felt this sort of sugar high hyper feeling and pains in my stomach after eating the banana - which I've also noticed after drinking the white grape juice. I'm thinking - is fruit sugar a problem for me? Or is it my body is going through die-off and fruit sugar somehow making it worse? The other thing is, I've had these pains since last night after eating salmon - which I figured bothered me because it was too fatty. The weird thing is, it flared today when I had my second glass of white grape juice (diluted) of the day, along with a bowl of grape jelly. I want to continue to have the banana - I've sort of counted on this to get me through the beginning stages of the diet to help me from losing too much weight. Should I wait a couple more days before trying it? I was also thinking of staying off the grape juice for a while as well...would apple cider be a better choice? > > Help! > > > > Thank you, > > > > Ellen > > IBS, medicated for constipation, lots and lots of bloating!
