Guest guest
Weeelllll.. I think both are well absorbed.. I have just been told by several RnY docs that they put their patients on the fumarate because it is best absorbed.. but all 3 forms are absorbed to some degree.. gluconate is just preferred for the lack of digestive troubles. If you want to kick up absorption, take iron (and calcium, for that matter) w/vitamin C, & your body absorbs more (not sure how much more.. seems that M told me ~32% more..?). Me, I take ferrous sulfate... but strangely, have no troubles w/constipation.. go figure???? <eg> I think I could take it 5x/day and not get stopped up.. Hugs, Liane > .
