Guest guest
Dear , I started out with a BMI of 40 and I was 8 weeks post-op before I lost 37 lbs. I have been slow and steady. Don't worry, it will come off. I was eating the same portion sizes that you are at 6 weeks. Sometimes, I can eat 2 eggs, sometimes, just one. Some days for lunch I finish a sandwich, somedays I just manage 1/2. Stop counting calories and eat until you are satisfied. I also find that I can consume a larger quantity of certain foods. The only " rules " with the DS are eat plenty of protein and be careful not to go overboard with refined sugar, i.e. candy and sugared beverages and juices. I never lost my taste for sugar after my DS and sometimes, this can be a struggle for me since I eat plenty of protein and still have enough room for the " sweets " . Good luck.
