Calcium Carbonate with vit D, magnesium and zinc 333.4mg

Theresa........

Vitalady has wonderful calcium called " Osteo Enhance Plus " and there are

240 capsules and 3 of them are 1500 mg of calcium citrate! I take 2,000 mg

a day so these cut way down on the number of pills I have to take per day.

(3 of these are 1500 mg and 2 of Citrical are only 630 and those are alot

harder for me to swallow!)

>

> microcrystalline hydroapatite...> absorb 600mg of calicum at a time

Yeah, the microcrystalline hydropatite is the best! More easily absorbable

by us DSers. Im afraid 600 mg of calcium at a time is the limit but you get

used to it, Theresa.....just lay them out on the counter and take them over

the course of the day when you see them! Also, in the very beginning its

tough to get that in so count on using Tums or something similar for that

first month for your calcium. Wont hurt but dont use it long term.

need to track down ADEKs or allergy A & D?

I like the ADEK's much better. I chew one in the morning and one at night

and it provides everything I need in vitamins etc. You might even ask your

pharmacy to carry the ADEKs for you becuz some will do that. Allergy A and

D is ok......I just prefer to chew that ADEK rather than swallow more pills!

Some prenatals are like horse pills and refuse to go down. However, if you

wish to take those buy the Wal Mart brand as they are less than $5 for a

bottle of 100. I dont think you need prenatals if you take ADEK's???

> Should I purchase my refrigerated lactobacillus acidophilus stuff

I would! They last for quite some time so might as well have them on hand

so thats one more trip to the store you dont need to make! Wal Mart also

carries a good brand.

> Fibre com? Should I get this now? and is a generic just as good?

Yeah, Fiber Con is good to have in case.......generic is just as good.

>

I never needed any as I eat a half a banana every other day.......

For me, yes as I live 75 miles from the nearest big city and also you can

order them online and have them there before you need them. Sometimes

online carries more variety and quanity than the stores do but that depends

on how much you treasure convience and how much you hate shopping LOL

>

Never ever any silly questions to ask, Theresa! We post ops have been

there, asked that LOL

, and if any of the pills they took

> caused any gastric distress at the beginning and they switched to

In the beginning I took the childrens chewable vitamins and they were yucky!

Wished I had known about ADEKS at that time as they taste alot better

chewed. Also take tums (the flavored ones are great for this period of

time) for your calcium as you wont be able to swallow most pills during this

period. Your tummy wont hold much!

Boy, your day is fast approaching, Theresa! Are you getting excited? I

cant wait for you to join all the rest of us over here where the grass is

truly much greener on the other side! <grin>

Judie,

You are always so generous with your time and knowledge. Sending you

a huge hug of thanks. Ok, I have printed out your letter. Question,

you take the ADEKs as well as the calcium citrate.

Could you please tell me where you get your ADEKS from and which

brand? And what brand of multi vitamins do you take?

Thanks for your patience with me. Am I excited? nervous, excited,

nervous, excited??? yes! laughing...all of the above. I kinda feel

like i did before I gave birth. Terrified and elated and nervous and

thrilled all rolled into one. I finally figured why I've lost 10

pounds in the past 9 days. My IBS is kicking up from

nerves...laughing, kinda my surgery free malabsorption thing going on!

Hugs and luv ya!

Theresa
