Hello all. I've been on SCD for

really strict on the SCD. I eat eggs or homemade yogurt for breakfast,

leftover meat and veggies or broth or Lara Bar for lunch, and meat,

fruit, and veggies for dinner. Simple. I'm a bit concerned about my low

cholesterol and lack of fats in my diet. Any ideas?

For starters, I would find pastured half & half and make my yogurt

out of that.

Put butter on all your vegetables.

Use coconut oil as part of the oil for your mayo.

Eat non-farmed fatty fish like salmon. (There's a good dill sauce in

Lucy's cook book.)

Thanks Amelia! I was eating some chicken soup, and got right up and put butter

in it! I must say it makes it even better. :)

I am not a big eater, so it's hard to think about eating eggs and yogurt for

breakfast. Seems like a lot! But I'll figure out how. :)

raw) in the yogurt and fruit to make a smoothie. Add good quality grass-fed cow

butter to everything you can think of -- including soups and smoothies

(unsalted, it makes them really creamy). Avocados and coconut oil are very good

too. I add coconut oil to my tea and coffee (and smoothies) (in addition to

coconut milk). In fact, a lot of times I use just coconut milk (no additional

water) to make the tea (in a pan with loose leaves).
