Guest guest
when insurance stopped paying for Diovan, the doc put me on Altace i started complaining about some other symptom -- maybe a cough -- right now i forget i think it was pulmonary who said the symptom was from the Altace, so the doc submitted a special form to the insurance company stating what happened with the Altace and they agreed to re instate the Diovan (for high blood pressure) Pink Joyce R (IPF 3/06) IFA 5/09 Pennsylvania Donate Life Listed 1/09 Inactive 4/09 www.transplantfund.org--- Subject: Insurance helpTo: Breathe-Support Date: Monday, November 9, 2009, 9:10 AM 3-4 weeks ago I had another right heart cath done and the doctor confirmed class III/IV PAH. Guest guest
Tony You just have to get your doctor heavily involved in fighting for you with Humana. He needs to talk to them. I know Humana is pushing a step therapy kind of attempt and using the blockers first. But, you're to the point that is beyond that being a wise move in your doctor's opinion and generally they wouldn't be prescribed at your level. I don't know what your pressure was on the cath. But Revatio and Tracleer are the norms at a class III or IV PH. Tell your doctor you need his help. He can help you in the fight if you can enlist him to do so. > > 3-4 weeks ago I had another right heart cath done and the doctor confirmed class III/IV PAH.
