I will give the metamucil a try only because I do ingest what I consider a good

Lisbeth, I had eaten such a low-fat diet for several years and didn't realize

how lean my choices had become. Of course I still was plenty fat but regularly

ate low-fat. Now I eat butter, something I didn't do for about 5 years. And

mayo, bacon and cheese and real cream in my coffee. LOL Oh I love this

surgery!

That is why I was surprised Jackie, because for breakfast I have scrambled eggs

with a slice of cheddar cheese yesterday I added a sausuge patty to it. Then I

had tuna fish I had the guy at the deli add some extra mayo because I dont like

dry tuna and for dinner I had chicken ok ok I had a toaster struedel yesterday

also almost forgot about that...That is why I was a bit surprised to wake up

this morning to discover nothing in the porcelain dept....A part of me is scared

to add fats because I suffered from IBS and I know what its like to go and go

and go and go and go.......I think I will try and drink a gallon of water and

hope that flushes something out (sorry to be gross) LOL

Thanks for the reply I appreciate it!

Oh hon,

I have suffered from IBS and the running variety since my 20's.

Right now, the morphine they are giving me is acting like quick set

concrete, so I can relate. I have learned to take a daily stool

softener... (generic colace) but even this at times does not help. I

actully had to break down and purchase a fleets enema when the colace

and the milk of magnesia did nothing but create an urgency that was

not gonna happen.

Try the fleets for the current situation, but also try to add some

orange flavored metamucil once a day and then some colace in addition

if that doesnt' get you back on track. I know its a delicate topic,

but I really feel for you, little sis!

Hugs,

Theresa

am constipated....Should I take something or should I try something

any advice would be greatly appreciated! And to think I had IBS for

an entire year and all I wanted was to stop going then after surgery

for a month and a half I really couldnt stop.....And now I just want

to go!
