Guest guest
AJ, Yikes, that's pretty nasty of her indeed! What are his options now? Is he unable to work and get on his own policy then, as you indicated disability earlier. Hang in there! Guest guest
AJ, I live in California, which we all know is the home of fruits, nuts, and flakes...and I am probably at least two of those...but I digress...we have something here called domestic partners. Basically, if you declare someone your domestic partner, they are entitled to the same medical benefits through your employer, as if you were married. This does not pertain to business out here with 25 or less employees. Anyway, the best part of this...is that it does not in anyway put you under any legal obligation in terms of assets, alimony, palimony etc. Anyway, I was just trying to brainstorm and see if we could come up with some kind of options for you and your sweetie! After all, it would be fantastic if the two of you could embark on this wonderful journey together. Oh well, it may be too far fetched, but give me time...I'll come up with something! Oh, and if he was covered within the past 6 months through his ex'es insurance, he is still probably eligible for cobra benefits. Something else to consider.
