Just something to remember: Elaine never opposed taking necessary

medications.

If you don't achieve remission on just SCD, then use whatever drug seems

appropriate for you, after consulting with your health care professional.

Use it as an aid, a help, and continue on SCD to keep healing.

The need for medication does not mean you have " failed on

SCD " .

It just means you need some help to find your equilibrium.

Kat,

I really think you should go ahead with LDN. 10mg of prednisone is

OK with LDN for now. I know they say to deal with yeast first before

starting LDN, but I didn't (didn't know i had the problem) and I didn't

quit LDN when I went on Diflucan and I think they can coexist. I think

the Diflucan diminished my immune help from LDN a little bit but I can

live with that as I have other benefits, too. I figure I'll just

work on everything and OK, maybe it will take a little longer.

Thanks Kim and thanks everyone for helping me get some prespective. I

think that eating my low-sugar fruits (all I am eating is blueberries,

avocado and moderate pear), and only being on 10mg of prednisone, I'm

going to start the LDN as soon as I can. It sounds like it has helped so

many people, and I am hoping it will help me too, despite the modest

yeast problem. If I can taper off prednisone even a little I'm sure it

will help with the yeasts, which will help with the LDN, and we can get

this cycle going in the right direction!

Hi ,

There is another thread with LDN in the title where a few good bits of info and

some links to articles was posted. I think if you look even at today's messages

or type in " LDN " to search for messages you'd find a lot.

The website for LDN is http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/. There are more, but

this one has some really good info. The drug seems to have very very miniman,

nontoxic side-effects and works across the board for immune-related disorders.

I've done a bit of research, and would be happy to talk more if you want, but

I'd check out the website first. It will do a better job of describing it than I

will. :)

Thanks . It's amazing to me how much the mind can help when it is calm.

I'll remember to keep taking baths, and I realized yesterday I need to speak

with more " filling " people in my life, as most of my energy in relationships in

going into my parents, which has it's benefits and challenges, and a few

remaining friends that use me for advice but who do not provide me with a lot of

nourishment. I have found that a lesson in all this might be that when I am

whole and happy I do not have to " come down " in order to make others feel

better. (Coming down and being grounded in earth is another matter, which I

highly support.) I have compromised my own well-being for those who wanted

attention from me my whole life and it is time to stop, because it is making me

bleed. Pretty clear sign. Hard to do the action of ending relationships though!

Thanks for all your words and help! :)

P.S. Amazing the things one can learn in a bath.

This looks great. I'll look more into it when I have a minute today. It reminds

me that I found some good ones on youtube over the summer too. I just " shut off "

from all that when the schizophrenia-type symptoms got their worst and I had to

forget I was a spirit and pretend to just be a body for while in order to ground

out I guess. Thanks for the reminder!
