Guest guest
Hi Katy, My non-RSS child just had this surgery in December and it went fairly well. Her surgery was scheduled at 8:30am and she was home by 11am! The big issue for her was that she was not able to tolerate the codeine in the pain meds. It made her vomit for 3 days and we were concerned about dehydration. When we finally got the codeine out of her system the vomited subsided. She did okay with plain tylenol for pain at this point. She survived on popsicles and ice cream for about 3-4 days and then slowly added in scrambled eggs and other soft foods. She was back to normal about 7 days later. She can email me at jebarker @ easystreet.com if she has specific questions. Colin (RSS, gtube) and Hayden - 4 years 2 mo. Grant - 13.5 mo.
