Guest guest
So coffee is ok to drink? As long as it's black?michelleTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, March 31, 2010 8:15:35 PMSubject: Re: OT: Citrucel-like Product without the Illegals? Yes, stewed prunes usually work. After trying one day of prune juice and Miralax, though, I might be just ok with the Miralax :>) I'll have to see what the *outcome* is. I'm not a coffee drinker, and I think the caffeine would be too much for me. I do eat bananas occasionally, so maybe that is contributing. It doesn't take much to cause me problems. On Wed, Mar 31, 2010 at 7:39 AM, n Van Til <rxbach (AT) roadrunner (DOT) com> wrote: >> My GI wants me to start taking Citrucel and Miralax to help with C.>> Citrucel Orange has maltodextrin and the sugar-free kind has aspartame >> and what I presume is a smaller amount of maltrodextrin.>>>> Anyone found a methylcellulose product like this without the illegals? >> I see that Amazon.com sells just bagged methylcellulose but am not sure >> how much I would use, or if I should.>>>> BTW, he said my colon looked so good during the last colonoscopy, that >> he just wants to try this.>> I'd like it to stay that way :>) >>>> -->>As others have asked: have you tried stewed prunes? They work wonders for a lot of people. As does reasonably strong black coffee for some people. You should also know that bananas have the opposite effect for many people. So if you're eating bananas every day they could well be contributing to your constipation. n-- Now available. Guest guest
I still have a bit of B even after 19 months on the diet. Still trying to get rid of the B! More natural fiber seems to be helping. I might try 1 tsp of methylcellulose per day as an experiment to see if it makes *any* difference. If I can't stop the B. It's back on Canasa. I guess it takes more than 19 months to heal, since a lot of you have been on this diet for five years or more, but I know I'd be a lot worse without it. BTW, here's an article I read today on high glycemic carbs and women's health.--
Guest guest
Is methylcellulose legal?I hadn't really gone in 6 or so days. So I tried a suppository last night at 9. AFter 1/2 hour nothing happened. Then for the next couple hours I was having cramps. I did go but not as much as I hoped. I had a horrible night sleep. Can't even call it sleep. Maybe my body is freaking out right now. Maybe it was the stewed prunes I had at dinner. I went a little today but I eat a lot and hardly anything is coming out. Would it be horrible to add cooked cabbage to my turkey broth? From: jschneider To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Tue, April 13, 2010 9:08:30 AMSubject: Re: Re: Re: OT: Citrucel-like Product without the Illegals? Actually, I spoke too soon. I'm beginning to see results by eating higher fiber foods and using the Miralax. I guess I just need to be patient :>).--On Mon, Apr 12, 2010 at 5:51 PM, jschneider <julie.a.schneider@ gmail.com> wrote: I still have a bit of B even after 19 months on the diet. Guest guest
, Have you tried enemas in the past? If so, which ones? Do you have any disease or inflammation in your rectum?
