I think she means 10 feet were bypassed. Talking in RNY terms where how much

bypassed is discussed rather than alimentary limb and common channel length.

I think maybe the surgeon just told her this referring to the fact that the

bile is diverted. Which it is diverted in a distal Rny as well. So

basically she had a distal RNY but now has a stretched stoma which means she

has no volume restriction (another reason to keep our pyloric valve). We can

eat more later on but we never lose our restriction (compared to preop)

entirely.

What I don't understand is: She states that she had the distal bypass with BPD,

and then says she's a 3+ year RNY post op. Isn't this misleading? Or am I not

getting something here?
