Hi all,

Just a quick update on our visit to Dr H (I will put the

kindergarten IEP stuff in another post).

Anyway, we had a 1 pm appointment for 5/17. Needless to say, she

was back to her old ways and didn't see us until 3:30. I should

have followed my instincts and just left at 1:15 like I was going

to. Steve had a grad school final at 6 pm and we just made it home

in time. The kids had to miss tball because hadn't had dinner

yet and Becca was very upset to miss a game.

It was a terrible visit. In the last three months, gained

zero. He is 14.4 kilos (almost 32 pounds). He only grew 1.3 cm.

He is currently 98.5 cm which is 38 3/4 inches.

Needless to say, we are making some adjustments. Dr H increased his

gh and wants to re-start his periactin. Due to falling asleep

at school once he started the risperdal for the PDD, we had stopped

the periactin (with Dr H's blessing). Risperdal is supposed to have

the same appetite stimulating effect as periactin so Dr H said to

stop the periactin. Now we will be re-starting it slowly and uping

his prior dose.

We had not received the written reports from the psychiatrist that

we needed for the kids kindergarten IEP that was 5/18 so Dr H called

the guy screaming. She can be a wonder. We received the reports by

fax first thing the morning of the 18th just in time.

She did tell us to keep an eye on Becca's weight (which she says

every time we see her). Becca is currently 41 3/4 inches and almost

45 pounds.

We made his next appointment for August on a day when the kids are

finished with their summer program and Steve won't have to be

anywhere (that we know of now).
