Hey Mimi

That's wonderful news. As I was reading your post, I was remembering when you

were first posting about Isaac getting his feet pricked. Wow I remember how bad

I was feeling for you at that time.

How are you feelign?

Hello all-

Just wanted to let you know that the nutritonist weighed Isaac this

week and he gained another 12 oz in 3 weeks!! Her scales showed him

at 15 lbs 4.23 oz but I have always used his pediatrician's weight

because we have used that scale since birth (it is always mored than

the nutritionist). We will find out next week what he shows as his

weight. The nutritionist felt that he is doing so well that we don't

need the " nutrition consult " each month anymore!!!! YEAH! Since

Isaac has seen his pediatrician every 4-6 weeks since birth for

weight checks I see this a plus.

Isaac has also had 4 physical therapy sessions and he is standing up

on his own while holding on to the edge of the sofa! This is a MAJOR

deal since he has had sensory issues with his feet since birth. Many

of you may remember...he has to have blood work about once every 2-

3 months because of his hypothyroidism. I drive about 30 minutes to

the children's hospital to get his blood drawn and for the first 8

months of his life they would cut his heel and squeeze a whole test

tube from the cut... It took about 20 minutes and they would poke

both arms before they resorted to this. Needless to say Isaac would

not allow his feet to be touched by anyone and he just started

bearing weight on his feet for a few seconds at a time 3 months ago.

The first time he stood I was so proud that I cried..probably the

hormones ;)
