Guest guest
Thanks alot Steve!! The last thing I wanted to read was what you had to say -- the truth! I am 8 weeks and have recently started back at work. People have noticed my 43 pound weight loss. Some have mentioned it, but most do not comment about it (at least to me). I work in a small where about 25% of the employees, I feel, would be completely judgemental about the surgery. So I have elected to share my type of surgery info with only 4 people (my boss, HR and 2 very close friends). After reading your " epiphany " , I am starting to think -- " what the F*#K!! " Yes I care about what people say about me...and yes I hurt when the negitive is said. But this is NOW apart of who I am. And you know, I am proud of who I am...I have brown hair, brown eyes, a college degree, adopted and have had WLS. No, I do not need to announce this over our PA system at work...but, if asked, I will NOW be honest about what type of surgery I have had and I will also go in Monday morning and share my surgery with the members of my unit. Steve, I appreciate you allowing to face some of my fears and basically making me deal with them. And maybe, just maybe, I can help someone else who is dealing with being MO in the process. gail 9/7/01 -43 lbs dr. rabkin ===== gail fran 9-7-01 dr. rabkin __________________________________________________
