My son eats a LOT of Shelton's hotdogs & sausage. I was just told by

our DAN doc this morning that there are cross contamination problems

with these products. Has anyone else here looked into Shelton's

products and/or seen reactions in your children? Any input or

experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

My children have been using Shelton's hot dogs and bologna for years. It is

pretty high fat (not a great protein source) but free of nitrates and corn

syrup. I have never heard of cross contamination problems, or seen

reactions like that, but I never called the company either. It may be the

sausage that are the problem. I know I chose not to buy them, but I think

it was due to price rather than gluten contamination (much cheaper to add

sage & salt to ground turkey, and make your own.)
