Guest guest
Helene, I covered my son's mattress with the plastic (polyprolene) you can buy in the paint department at WalMart. I also just bought a mattress pad at Bed, Bath & Beyond that is 100% cotton, dye & chemical free. Hope this helps. Feel free to email me privately if you want more info (antimony, gas etc) Kathy
Guest guest
Im working on getting all of the mattresses in the house covered, using very thick plastic and leaving an opening in the bottom for the vapors to escape... Im doing all of the beds just to be sure that Zack wont get any kind of exposure from anything even if he is playing on someone elses bed or coming in for a morning snuggle in my bed.... My question is.... the boys have bunk beds and Zack sleeps on the bottom, if I cover the upper bunk bed and keep the hole ont he bottom for the vapors to escape, wont that be defeating the prupose since he sleeps underneath??? How can I avoid this? Im not able to take the bunks apart due to space and he prefers the bottom to the top. Would an opening in the side towards the airy side of eh room work??? thanks in advance Triss

Guest guest
That's what I would do. The problem is breathing the concentrated gas. If you put holes on the sides it should alleviate the problem. Just make sure to air out the room from time to time. > Im working on getting all of the mattresses in the house covered, using very > thick plastic and leaving an opening in the bottom for the vapors to > escape... Guest guest
Okay, I must have missed the beginning of this thread. WHAT'S WITH MATTRESSES? Are ALL mattresses affected, or just some. Thanks~Deborah
