Guest guest
Hi gang, Just a note to let everyone know I had my wrist surgery yesterday and all went well. They did a local block and sedated me. I have been on Oxycodone so am flying around 20,ooo feet. I did get nauseous and took Phenergan so am OK now. I have a solid cast on my left hand but I am right handed so that helps. The pain is not much worse than prior to surgery so expect things to get better. They had to cut out the calcium build up and fuse the bones together. I will have cast 6-8 weeks. Surgery was almost 2 hours. We went to Fayetteville Ga. hospital (my first experience) and they were so efficient it was scary. I sat 1 minute waiting for the call to go to get set up for surgery, and it was like clockwork for the rest of the day. Got there at 8:15 a.m. and headed home around 12:15 p.m.. ALL of the nurses, doctors, etc were so friendly too They gave Joanie a pager and as soon as I was awake paged her and allowed her to come in. As good as the nurses were, my private nurse makes them look like amateurs. As much as I don't like someone to wait on me, Joanie is fabulous, and sometimes she wants to baby me. I think sometimes I act like one, but as a caregiver she is definitely the best. I like reading recipes. Our church just started selling a recipe book and Joanie and I have a few recipes of ours in there. I also have a CD of 20,000 (Yea twenty thousand) recipes. I have not been disappointed with any I have tried. Chatted long enough! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
