Guest guest
Hi, I have used Orbitz with fairly good luck (you can even set a " deal finder " and set a price and they notify you if the price drops to your spedified price). I would also suggest trying flexible times and any smaller airlines/budget (ie Southwest). I also use a " cut rate " shop out of NY...sometimes they can find me cheaper flights. However, they charge you a surcharge for using a credit card instead of cash. They are called TravelCraft USA 1-800-777-craft. Guest guest
, I was surprised that the rates were so high. I am guessing because that is not as common of a route as flying from other major cities? I am flying from Ft. Lauderdale (further than you) & got round trip tickets for $131 each. Here's the best I found for you: $363 on Orbitz (flying Northwest) $361 on Expedia (flying Northwest) $357 on Northwest Airlines A tip to people searching for good airfare prices: I usually do a search on all the major airfare search engines, find the best price, and then go directly to the airline website to get the fare for the same flight. Most of the time (not always) the airline website is cheaper, because you aren't paying those hidden service fees to the airfare search engine. Also, I look on www.cheapair.com and www.cheapflights.com to find specials that sometimes aren't on any of the other websites. Last time I flew to NY to see Dr. H, I used 2 different air carriers to and from NY to get the best rate. Guest guest
Mimi, You can get much better prices than $480! Here's what I found from Dallas Ft. Worth: $233 Expedia (United Airlines) $235 Orbitz $228.40 (United Airlines website) $176 (Cheapair.com on multiple carriers or on American TransAir) Kim C. > Hi - > I feel for you!!!!! > I am having the same problem! Guest guest
hi mimi!! i just cheked orbitz and it would be $470 rt taxes are included. the tickets are $235 ea so you could put a different amount in their deal detector and see if they will match it. we did that and after about 2-3 weeks they matched the price. plus if you fundraise you can get reimbursed for your airfare after convention!! good luck!! jodie c > > > > Hey Everyone- > > > > I am having a hard time finding plane tickets for Chicago that are > > under $420.
