Guest guest
There has been some recent discussion of Larabars over on Pecanbread, particularly since the company has been purchased so the formulas are likely to change. Some folks do OK with the legal-appearing Larabars, and other do not. The general consensus was that the SCD-legal Larabars (legal per the ingredient list) should be considered an advanced food, eaten only when you have been symptom-free for a while. And probably not eaten frequently. And even then it will be considered a Use-at-your-own-risk item. Better to make your own. Always. Marilyn has posted an equivalent recipe recently, as I recall. The company will will be bought by General Mills but I don't know when.
Guest guest
Just came across a post on the pecanbread group concerning Digestive Wellness making the decision to stop selling Larabars any longer. A link to their website giving an alternative recipe was included: http://www.digestivewellness.com/itempage-1078-24-2-1626.html Kim M. " And if the answer is yes, she says, " Then stop. " I also know that Digestive Wellness has chosen to stop carrying them. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
