though everything inside of me is swollen and the food just won't go down

easy. I avoid eating much that day because of it.My girlfriend who also had

the DS by the same surgeon Dr Scholten says she experiences the same thing.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Renae: First off, congrats on the weight loss!!!! :):) I get this sometimes

myself. I'm almost 9 months post-op (and almost at the -100 mark -- if it

ever happens! AGH! This plateau is getting to me). I find that if I twist

my upper body a lot, I'll get an ache in my upper back and/or intestinal

aches. It does subside when I rest. I don't necessarily have this happen

when I eat but it is in conjunction with when I exercise (specifically using

my upper body/arms).

I wonder if you had a hiatus hernia as a pre-op? Could be acid reflux. I

had a slight hiatial hernia as a pre-op (it was diagnosed with the endoscopy,

I had no idea that I had one until that time) but I haven't experienced any

burning sensation or problems when eating as a post-op.

all the best,
