I'm wondering if stress can effect this condition (UC) more than the foods i'm eating? I was thinking of just eating whatever legal SCD foods I want, just to enjoy it for a bit and see what happens, but would that be just as bad as eating illegals?IMO, sometimes flares get too bad to get under control with intro/stage 1 alone, and it doesn't seem to be working for you. I think you could probably find a happy medium, where you aren't eating so many advanced foods that it harms your system but that you have enough variety to take the stress off and enjoy your food more. Since I'm on meds anyways, I recently introduced more veggies such as cauliflower, broccoli, and asparagus, and I also introduced cheese and almond butter. Just these few additions have really lessened my stress, and the foods I'm eating still aren't that advanced. When you're used to being so restricted, even a few new foods seem to make all the difference. If I were you, I would go for it, but try to introduce the easiest foods that you think you will enjoy, and still stay mostly away from really hard to digest stuff like whole nuts, dried fruit, pork rinds, peanut butter, etc...Anyways, that's what I would do. I hope you start to get better soon! Peace =)Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 30 mg 1x per day
