I couldnt' stand and wash the dishes, or walk around my yard without being out of breath. Now 12 weeks after surgery, I can work in my yard all afternoon, do the dishes and then clean the whole house, go on dates, etc etc. I have no breathing problems, no asthma and no more heartburn. I do still deal with depression..but its not as bad as it was...and I'm still in counseling so I'm dealing with it. Life is good...and getting better. Do what you need to do for you and no one else. Keep researching, make him understand...and if he doesn't ...do what you need to for yourself...he'll come around at some point. ~*~ AJ ~*~ Bellingham, WA Age 37 5'8'' Open DS self pay - Dr Baltasar -Alcoy Spain 07/24/01 BMI 64 415.1 08/24/01 BMI 58 386.5 -28.6 lbs! 09/24/01 BMI 55.8 367.1 -48.0 lbs! -37.75 inches 10/23/01 BMI 52.6 346.0 -69.1 lbs! -50.0 inches My profile: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=E982002956 My website: www.wls4aj.homestead.com
Guest guest
I did alot of research on the different WLS out there. I made an appointment with Dr. Booth in MS. My husband was terrified of losing me to complications from surgery. He went with me to the consult with Dr. Booth and sat in on all the information and consult. He lost his fear and is excited about the idea of the things that we would be able to do together again! He is very supportive of me having DS surgery. Perhaps your husband just needs more information. Make a list together of all the things you can enjoy together after the weight loss!
