Guest guest
Cathy Sorry to hear your son developed asthma. mine did at about 10 months . I can tell you he is much better now . My son requires only the meds, in case . He is not on any preventive , maybe required 1 treatment these last two years. AS for the mask, my son didn't use one either. I directed it towards his nose and mouth. I think they are gf . Regardless use them if he needs them. I know that for quite some time we went to the ER until we were on a preventive. If he starts having them often make sure you stop them before they start. We used cromolyn for a good year and a half. I credit the disapearance of my sons asthma to diet , vitamins C, E and A . I know I can relieve my own symptoms of allergies by upping my Vitamin C .

Guest guest
We made a game of the mask- pretending to be a pilot, or scuba diver, race car driver etc. In the beginning I took the mask off- and used the tube cupped in my hand. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to deal with it, and it last so long. Reading favorite stories during it worked for a while, drawing, playing simple games, playing music, rocking, favorite t.v. shows etc. Lolita > Dallas was diagnosed with asthma yesterday and was put on Albuterol > with bronchosaline. Guest guest
Get some felt and make a puppet the kids love it. Find something they love, Blues Clues, etc. and make that figure on it. Sharon

Guest guest
We had the mask problem too. We began just using the mouth piece near nose/mouth and Dr. said it was o.k. He'll now put the mouth piece in his mouth and " most of the time " use it correctly. Good Luck!
