Guest guest
Judie, I think this is a fantastic idea! I would love to have a " hen " party....pardon the expression. Like a grown up gals pajama party! Hey, the husband is liking the idea of being the only rooster in this party too! Laughing. I know we can get Amy up from the South Bay as well as a couple of others! Ok, lets get me switched and healing, and then we will plan a bring your own air freshener party! Guest guest
Theresa, I'm game! BUT, I'm going to rebel and NOT bring air freshener - I'm for torturing the gals with my gas at slumber parties, always have been, can't change now! lol lol lol Will Thom be our serving boy then and bring us ice water with lime (damn, we won't be able to drink margaritas!)? ;-) Amy > > Theresa, > > Let me know when and I will bring Kathy with me!! Guest guest
Teri, I'll back you up on the Tamale Wars. My mom is from Puerto Vallerta, the southern part of Mexico and my dad was from Sonora Mexico, the very northern most part. My dads mom made what I thought were the most horrible tamales! Laughing. They were like a sweet bean recipe! Arrggghhh.... my moms tamales are a lot more traditional. My favorite are sweet tamales with pinapple. They taste like moist little coffee cakes. I decided to get creative and add brown sugar to the sweet ones and my mother had a nervous breakdown! She said they looked dirty and practically disowned me. I did get her to experiment a bit further though, and now we also make a couple of dozen of Chile Relleno tamales. We put an ortega (anahiem) chile stuffed with Jack cheese inbetween the masa. I'd love to hear about your suggestions! I am always willing to try something new!
