Guest guest
- I am sorry I am writing late, but haven't been able to get on line much. I can feel your nervousness through email, and this is when I wished we all lived closer! We could go out for a cup of tea or something. Level 2 ultraounds are the best way -- you may have already had it done? Ask the technician to measure her head AND her femurs. They will compare the two against gestational age. The good news is that third-trimester IUGR (growth slowdown) is often more related to something in-utero like a placenta problem or other stuff, versus more of an RSS/genetic IUGR situation which is often detected in the first trimester when measurements are already off from when Mom knows she got pregnant. When I say " good news " , from what I have read, most of the late trimester IUGR kids will experience catch-up growth once they are outside the uterus. Am I making any sense??? So day by day. Please keep us posted. You are in our thoughts and prayers. > > > Hi everyone. I'm a little nervous now, ok, very nervous.
