Guest guest
Hi, all! I have an intelligent, college educated, and usually well informed friend, who lives a few hundred miles away that recently told me that she'd had a RNY in May. (I haven't *seen* her for over a year.) By the way, she's happy and is losing weight like crazy! After asking if she'd considered a DS, she said yes, but decided on RNY just in case she meets Mr. Right and wants to have children. I didn't have the heart to tell here she'd made an error--that it's the DS that's better for pregnant women. Ahhhh, well... d*nm. If only I'd known what she was up to....maybe I could have steered her here to YOU folks. I am not a religious person. But you know, there's a similarity here to my " Born-Again " friends. I really believe I have found at least one answer to my " prayers " --the DS. I haven't even had surgery yet but I feel like I belong to the " Church of DS " . I preach DS to any who want to know. Please, do not be offended by my remarks. I don't mean to be sacrilegious. I'm just showing how passionate I feel about the surgery after all I've read and learned from Dr. W and from you all! ~~ShirleyAnn Pre-op Dr. Welker Kathleen Horton wrote: I am one of those women who chose the DS in particular, because I want to have children. I am 40 years old, have never had children and part of my decision was based on the controllability of a woman's health during pregnancy with the DS...... -------------------
