Guest guest
Patti, There is a wonderful site that will not only give you projections, but will graph it on a week to week basis. the link is: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/bmi-start.phtml I graph myself out at both 80% of excess weight loss, and at 100%. For my stats: 5'7.5 257 lbs It shows my total goal weight to be 147 lbs...(Oh lord, I don't think I have ever weighed that little, even in childhood! laughing) and my estimated goal to be 169 pounds withing a window of 12 to 15 months. Play with it and print it out! It does represent averages, so you can't make yourself crazy with it, but I am finding that most folks are losing their weight at a faster rate than the charts and those with more weight to lose, reach their goal in less months than those with less weight to lose! (Finally an advantage for being larger!) Best of luck to you, and please let me know if I can provide you with any other links. I have been collecting fantastic bookmarks from all the wonderful pre and post ops out there since June, and i actually organized them and named them so I can reference them! I figure since this is the first time in my life I have been terribly organized, that I will experience a major computer melt down...oh, because I haven't backed up my system in about 4 months! Guest guest
Correction, the graph is on a monthly basis, not weekly...sorry! > > Hi group. > > > > I am wondering if there is a formula for figuring out about how > much > > weight a person can expect to lose taking into account their BMI > and > > height, and whatever else one needs to take into consideration. > > > > Any ideas? > > > > Patti > > +115 > > 5'1 "
