Guest guest
Hey Sheryl, Sorry to hear about her being sick and you being pregnant on top of it all and sick too! Emerence also throws up quite easily when upset. The little stinker even has figured out how to use that to stay up longer (she hates to go to bed so she stands at the door and howls holy heck - she has figured out though once she makes a gagging noise, I rush to catch her before she throws up). Hopefully things will get better quick.... , , 5 and Emerence 2, 31 " but LOST weight from 19 11 to 19 4. > > Well, yesterday by 11am, Dalia's ketones returned to normal and all > day she drank her Pediasure just fine (not huge amounts, but an > average amount for her)...she didn't nap well so she was extremely > cranky all day, which is typical when she is tired. Guest guest
Sheryl, I just saw your e-mail and really felt for you. Our situations seem identical. How is Dalia doing? I too was so sick when we went down to Dr. Harbison and we were there all day as she tested his ketones. Is Dalia eating besides drinking? Carbs will help keep the sugar down. Dr. H. also gave us glucose in a tube to add to his juice. When he refused a bottle a night we put some right in his mouth and Dr. H. said that was great. You can buy this at the drugstore with the diabetes stuff. It was the same with Jonah, sometimes keeping things down, sometimes not. On Monday he turned a corner and now is eating and drinking really well and is no longer spilling ketones. I will continue to check them just to make sure that he does not normally spill them. We put a tbs of cornstarch into a bottle before bed and sill wake him up in the middle of the night for another. Hope you are feeling better Update on Dalia - more advice needed - long > > > Well, yesterday by 11am, Dalia's ketones returned to normal and all > day she drank her Pediasure just fine (not huge amounts, but an > average amount for her)...she didn't nap well so she was extremely > cranky all day, which is typical when she is tired.
