The following is directly from Angel , regarding Page.

Dear Friends,

I was surprised to learn that our is still in the Hospital! She

was expecting to be released early yesterday, Thursday. Now it looks

as if she'll be in the hospital until Monday at the earliest!

is doing OK but it was a rough surgery – was supposed to last two

hours at most – and it lasted 5!! . Definitely not the outpatient

procedure she was expecting. Due to the length of time she spent on

the table and the extensive work they had to do in repairing a hernia

much MUCH more severe than the CAT scan or other tests had revealed,

and her level of pain and discomfort – she's staying put. Then, once

she's discharged she's also learned that she is going to have a much

longer recuperation period at home than originally thought as well –

more like 6-8 wks instead of the 2-3 wks she'd planned. The Dr. told

her she was only a day or so away from an intestinal rupture and other

serious related issues.

is on clear liquids, the doc doubled the amount of morphine her

little pump puts out at a time so she can be more comfortable. Still

no bowel functions happening and she's been in a lot of pain. Of

course she is sleeping a lot and worrying a good bit, I think. Her

Mom and who is going to care for Mom while gets better is

weighing heavily on her mind.

Please, if you are so inclined – say a prayer or send positive vibes,

light a candle, burn some incense --- please whatever way you reach

out on behalf of others—please do so on 's behalf. She's such a

trooper, hard fighter, committed daughter…. Great friend and awesome

person! I know she'll appreciate it. Those of you interested in

contacting her – because she IS taking calls and IS somewhat lonely

without any family/friends to drop in …. Call St. Luke's Hosp @

and ask to be connected to Page's room…. I THINK

it's 515…

Angel signing off ---

Warm regards,

Simply
