Guest guest
We normally don't reply to most of the posts about Kirkman's products on this board but since this post (copy below) clearly does not reflect our position I thought I would post the answer (same post that we made in response on another board). We don't want to go back and forth so this is the last post we will make on this thread. We have seen remarkable recovery with GFCF diet and encourage its use and recommend that parents keep their child on the diet if it is working for them. It is the first line of treatment for parents that are new to biomedical treatments. Enzymes can help with digesting all types of foods and many children with autism have problems wiht digestion that include soy, casein, gluten, sugars, fats and carbo's. The newest product EnzymeComplete with DPPIV is meant to digest all types of foods and IF a parent is adding casein and gluten foods it will digest normal levels of those as well. It is stronger and more complete than any competing enzyme and also has higher DPPIV levels. ==== The following is a copy of our post we sent to anther board to correct the record followed by the post to this group. ********************************************* , EnzymeComplete with DPPIV can be used on a regular basis for those that eating normal amounts of casein and gluten, just like the Houston enzymes. What we are saying is that we are not encouraging a parent that has an autistic child and is on a successful gfcf diet to substitute enzymes for the diet. That same parent however can make the decision if it is best for their child to eat casein and gluten foods with or without enzymes. There are medical concerns for children with autism that stop us from encouraging parents to break the diet. We have discussed this privately with you. You certainly have the right to have a different opinion. All people benefit from having both sides discussed.
