I'm in the process of being listed at UPA in Philadelphia, and they told me that over half the people in the U.S. have one particular blood disorder that's technically a form of herpes and that most don't even know about it. The doc said that since I don't have it, and since having it would increase the chances of rejection of a lung, that when it comes time, I would be asked to decide if I wanted to go ahead with it, if the donor was one who had it. Otherwise I could wait for another one. I found that to be pretty interesting. Actually, this is all pretty interesting.
