Hi Ru,

Thank you for your response. The " stuff " that you had postop would be

what I would, too, expect (especially pain). I am glad to hear you had no

more than that! I am relieved and reassured! Everyone has bee so great!

Happy holidays! Ann

Judy dear you better keep that leg propped up and in the air. :) Your welcome. We all love you so much, you have a great sense of humor. I hope you get that dang brace off soon.

Love you

Lu

I was on line yesterday for a little while but I had to quit - I am not supposed to have my leg down, so it got really swollen and painful, so I had to get my leg up in the air again. So I won't be on today. Maybe tomorrow (depending on what happens at the doctor's office) But by Thursday (I hope!) I'll be up and running!

Hi Dana! You caught my eye with your post. I had my

revision/TT/hysterectomy with Dr. Oh on 9/26/02. I vaguely remember

(through the morphine/valium haze) that said there was someone else

that she knew who had surgery that day.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing well.

Hi! My name is Dana & I live in Sammamish, WA.I had an open distal

RNY with Dr. Oh on Sept.26 2002. To date I have lost a 180lbs & am 30

lbs to goal. I feel GREAT!

A few yrs ago I went to a Dr. Fox WLS intro meeting in Tacoma Wa. &

meet this " spicy " little red-head with a wicked sense of humor. Her

name was . Many of you know her as " Vitalady " . She had just

had revision surgery & was there to talk about protein drinks & her 2

surgeries. What I didn't know...was this would be the person would

would help me change my life... save my life!

helped me to find a " right fit " surgeon as well as this

group.

Many of you will never know how much your posts give support to pre-

ops & new posts-ops that are looking to those that have gone before

them, living their lives... and learning from each other with

dedication,honesty, and passion.

It's the incredible support that you all give each other (even if you

don't always agree) that is so amazing and helpful to the rest of us

out there! :)

*** And a special thanks to who is such a wonderful,

selfless person... it is hard to put your boundless kindness into

words.

I just hope someday that I can help someone the way that you all do

everyday!

Thanks for letting me be a part of this group!

From a proximal RNY (150cm bypassed) to a distal RNY (60 inch CC). He was

unable to fix my pouch or stoma so I was only revised to a longer bypass.

Thanks to all who responded with suggestions of hotels in New York City. I

was wondering if any locals (or anyone else!) have any suggestions for

something to do in the afternoon and early evening to entertain a 3 year

old. The last time we were there we went to the Children's Museum of

Manhattan. It was okay but very crowded. I was hoping to go somewhere new.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated!!

THANKS!!
