Guest guest
I just came from my PCP, with a nasty rash (intertrigo) between my upper thighs caused by redundant skin. I had the DS almost 9 months ago and now have loose, jiggle skin. The skin rubs together until it just rubs off, well it is infected now. She prescribed antibiotics and cream, which I will start using, and I will also see a dermatologist next Friday to see what he thinks. My doctor also wants me to wear stockings and garters instead of pantyhose and long " knickers " . It seems like a lot of trouble to me. I know that surgery can fix this issue, so getting it documented and treated with prescriptions is important, however, I am not ready for more surgery. I have heard that the thighs are hard to do, that recovery is more difficult, and that the thighs don't end up looking all that hot afterwards. I also would rather wait until I could do the arms (bat wings) and a breast lift at the same time, because I have gotten intertrigo under the breasts and in my arm pits too. I have had a long history of rashes, but I never knew what it was called. I now weigh 176 pounds, and I am 35 pounds from goal although weighing 150 would a dream too. So here are my questions, how hard is it to get insurance to pay for removal of redundant skin due to massive weight loss and intertrigo, I have BCBS. How much weight can I expect to lose in skin from each procedure, my top weight was 305, and I am 5' 5 " and mostly butt and thighs. Thanks Teri
