Guest guest
>>> Wouldn't it be too soon to have seen anything enzyme related? I am happy that he didn't spend last night screaming and rolling on the floor like he has done in infringements past, but perhaps it's just because we've been GFCF for so long now that the reaction wasn't so strong? It could be both. People having been GFCF for awhile often notice a reduction in reaction in a single infraction. It could also be the enzymes. The food is in the stomach about 60-90 minutes before passing into the intestines. Giving the enzymes right away as you did would put the enzymes in contact with the food and start breaking stuff down. Enzymes literally work " on contact. " So although it may not have erased the reaction completely, working from the very beginning is very common and very believable. Also, having loose stools for a couple days is very characteristic of enzymes. Each bond an enzyme breaks produces one molecule of water and the waste is also much finer, so you may see looser stools. This usually adjusts in a few days. When we started Peptizyde, my older son and I didn't have any side-effects, but my younger son had loose stools for 3 days. Looks like it is working well. Glad your little one, and you, didn't have such a rough time of it. .
